Know how can you learn digital marketing and get a high paying job.

Digital Marketing is a very vast field in itself. There are too many different ways and different techniques to do it. Every day there is something new coming into it.

There are many digital marketers in the market who are exploring various methods to do marketing.

In this blog, I am going to interview a digital marketer who has been working in this field for the last two years. Her name is Shonali Chattergy. She has good experience in marketing and is currently doing a job in a company.

So, let’s know about her perspective about Digital Marketing.

We are going to talk about your personal experience in digital marketing.

So until now what work have you done in digital marketing? and from how much time you are in this field?

I have been in this field for the last 1.5 years. Now I am doing a job at Globussoft Technologies in Bangalore.

Have you done any work as a freelancer yet?

Yes I have done some work as a freelancer for a Doctor Client.

So can you summarize all the digital marketing so that any 10 yr boy can understand what the thing is?

Digital Marketing is basically you have to do business via digitally or online. Here you can deal with your customer within a second and also can attract your customers by your digital marketing methods or your skills in those methods like Google ads , SEO, Social Media Marketing etc. It’s just you have to be pro in any of these marketing methods and do it correctly.

My niche is SEO and it will take time to show you the results but once you know what to do with SEO in your website then trust me you will get some awesome results.

So how will you differentiate between all the traditional ways of marketing vs digital marketing ?

Traditional marketing is good and can attract a lot of customers but it is time taking and also needs a lot of manpower and yeah during this covid time man has to come to the office for this traditional marketing which is not safe and also it will take a lot of time to get the valuable results. On the other hand, Digital Marketing is something you can do from the comfort of your home ,it’s just you need to know the correct method to do the marketing digitally. And also it needs a lot less manpower than traditional marketing. It’s kind of cheaper than traditional marketing also. So both are good in their own way but Digital Marketing is more effective than Traditional one.

Next I would like to know, what do you think about the future of digital marketing?

What potential are you seeing in the DM and what changes it can bring in the marketing ecosystem?

Everyone in the country is preferring digital marketing over everything else. Even the startups are launching their business via digital marketing. Doing insta marketing, fb marketing and all that. This platform eases the process of every business. The company doesn’t have to deploy the manpower to go physically into the market and promote the product, and also it needs way less manpower than the traditional one as I said it earlier.

You can market any kind of product digitally even if you’re a newbie or just an artist or baking cake or any kind of services you are providing to the people. You can market those products on social media and marketing the thing or just sell the products via digitally. No door to door service required. It is also easy for students, unemployed ones or housemakers to do digital marketing, they just have to know the right thing to do.

Yes, really digital marketing has made all things easy for the new businesses.

So lastly, what would you suggest to students who are wanting to learn this skill and make a career in the same?

How can they start and what one can keep in mind while starting for digital marketing?

First do some free digital marketing courses given by Google to get some basic knowledge of Digital Marketing then I would say to do some good course online from Coursera, Unacademy etc. and follow some youtubers related to Digital Marketing like Pritam Nagrale, Neil Patel etc and also follow some of the websites from where you can learn a lot of things like Moz, SEMRush, Search Engine Journal etc.

Just keep in mind that nothing is easy and you have to do a lot of work like internships and all and it literally depends on you what you want to do with your Digital Marketing knowledge. Like you want to do marketing for your business or personal branding or digital mentoring etc.
